Julie began her journey into yoga after years of competitive distance running had left her injury prone. Seeking a source of cross training she stumbled upon Bikram's Beginner's Hot Yoga class; a 26 posture, 90 minute class practiced in a 105 degree heated room. Julie was hooked. She graduated from Bikram's teacher training in LA in June 2002 and went on to open her own studio, Yoga Zone in Millburn, NJ. After practicing the Bikram series for several years, Julie began to yearn for more. This desire for something greater pushed her to explore several other styles of yoga which is how she found her true place in the yoga world; Vinyasa! "It just opened me up, physically and spiritually in a way I had never thought possible!" With this new found passion and some life changes (getting married and moving to NYC), Julie closed Yoga Zone in the fall of 2005 and went to train with Baron Baptiste in 2006. Teaching Vinyasa allows Julie to utilize her enthusiasm and creativity to craft challenging and fun classes. Most importantly, Julie brings smiles to her students' faces. Julie is certified to teach pre-natal yoga and is a Holistic Nutritionist Counselor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC. Julie continues to run marathons and train, but always finds herself back in downdog!

They say that you come to yoga in this lifetime, as a result of practicing in a past lifetime. Jeff has been interested in the practice of yoga since early childhood. In May of 2005, Jeff became a certfied Jivamukti yoga instructor. Jeff went on to complete the 800-hour advanced teacher teacher training with mentor Yogeswari at the Jivamukti yoga school in NYC. "No one can teach yoga, but we can use this practice to help us to bring about the state of yoga; the interconnected, interrelated, and most importantly, interdependent nature of all things."

After experiencing injury and burnout, she turned to Yoga as her primary source of healing and exercise. And, while the challenging physical aspects of a regular Yoga practice are rewarding, it’s the spiritual inspiration and mental peace that keep her in love with Yoga and on her mat as often as possible.
Crystal loves the creativity, strength and flow of Vinyasa Yoga and believes Yoga is a personal practice that brings balance and grace to all facets of life. Crystal is very passionate that Yoga is for everyone! She weaves teachings from her 200hr training program in Yoga Therapeutics to offer challenging and safe classes that emphasize mindful breath, alignment and finding your flow, all to the beat of great music. She encourages students to honor what best serves their own bodies and minds and it is her hope that students leave class feeling uplifted, energized and relaxed.
Originally from South Dakota, Crystal is happily settled in New Jersey with her supportive husband and 3 beautiful kids. She is thankful to have found Yoga and hopes to help you find your own path as well...breath by breath. Peace.
